For my altered portrait created on illustrator, I decided to use a large amount of detail. In order to do this I used the pen tool to outline the much smaller shapes that are in my face. The light from the lamp coming at the left side of the picture defines more shapes than what would be defined without it. After I used the pen tool to create each shape in my face and neck, I then used the eyedropper tool to fill the shape with the most common color inside of it. After repeating these steps throughout the course of my work, I came to with a project that I am pleased to call mine.
